If you’re looking for an adventure, consider a charter tour starting from Silver Islet. This tour takes you over the historic silver mine and across Black Bay, where you’ll be able to enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the Sleeping Giant as you pass through the mine shafts’ glimmering shadows.
Once you reach Porphyry Island, take some time to appreciate the unique climate and plant habitat, and listen to the light keepers’ stories during a guided or self-guided tour. Lighthouses offer a variety of perspectives to explore, from keepers and their chickens to ships that were run aground by the light itself.
