Looking to spend more than just one day at Porphyry Island? Consider booking an extended stay in the former lightkeeper’s residence.
This cozy three-bedroom home comfortably accommodates up to six guests, featuring one double bed, two rooms each with two single beds, and a cot if needed.

Step back in time and settle into the 1950s keeper’s residence, a charming red-and-white home with wooden floors, gabled windows, and panoramic views of Lake Superior.
While the setting is historic, your stay will be comfortable and memorable. The house is equipped with:
Solar power charge station.
Running cold water
Filtered water
A propane stove & fridge
A composting toilet

Weekend Getaway Pricing
Transportation Options:
There are two key components to consider:
1. Getting to the Island:
– If you have your own boat, you can use it for transportation to and from the island.
– If you require a charter, we offer scheduled runs on Thursdays and Sundays for $110/per person. Booking outside these dates would require a private charter (additional cost).
2. House Rental:
– The rental rate is $170 per night for the entire home to yourselves- Sleeps up to 6 people.
