
With international trade and borders being in the news today, it’s only fitting to revisit the story of rum-running and bootlegging on Lake Superior. Light keepers on Superior had manys ways of generating a living including helping out the rum runners in the roaring ’20’s keeping the thirty stocked. Join Canadian Lighthouses of Lake Superior for their first of two speaker engagements at the Thunder Bay Museum on February 15th at 2pm, free entry, non-alcoholic refreshments available. There will also be an opportunity to hear about what this years lighthouse events and host keeping or artist in resident program. Next Date will be on March 15 featuring stories of Shaganash Light.
